I met Angel by chance while filming on the border between Paraguay and Argentina.
When
I heard him speak for the first time I couldn't believe everything that
the 9-year-old boy was thinking and wondering in a territory forgotten
by both countries. We promised to meet again and a year later I returned
to Nanawa to invite him to do something together.
The Prince of
Nanawa is a non-fiction film, built with the daily diaries that Angel
has been filming since we met with other types of visual footage. These
images, which engage in dialogue and enrich each other, have been
accompanying our meetings for 10 years now.
